Heritage Center
Permanent Exhibit
The Ag Cab Lab made its place as a permanent exhibit at the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck, ND. It sits in the Inspiration Gallery and has attracted many riders this past week.
The Museum
The new galleries and exhibits at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum feature thousands of artifacts and specimens, high-tech displays, and interactive exhibits help tell the story of North Dakota.
The Adaptation Gallery has dinosaur tracks in the Corridor of History floor and showcases life-sized skeleton casts of a Tyrannosaurus rex and a Triceratops. The Innovation Gallery models early peoples with more than 1,000 artifacts telling the story of early life on the Northern Plains. The Inspiration Gallery focuses on yesterday and today with an experimental Mars space suit, along with the Ag Cab Lab, and spans North Dakota’s story from 200 years ago to modern times. See a homestead shack, visit a soda shop from the 1950s, listen to veterans’ oral histories, experience planting crops from the seat of a modern tractor, and explore the state’s current energy and petroleum development.
